DeSantis making ‘deceitful claims` to justify changes in Florida voting laws, his critics say

Plans by Gov. Ron DeSantis and the Republican-controlled Legislature to change Florida election laws, even though they all proclaimed last year that the state`s election was a well-run success, are drawing scrutiny. The changes would have the combined effect of hurting Democrats and helping Republicans in the election in which DeSantis will be seeking re-election and Republicans will be looking to maintain or increase their advantage in the congressional delegation.
